This version has a simplified user interface. Instead of using a GTK notebook it splits the user list and messages via a vertical panel. Everything is now visible on one screen. A screenshot is available here.

Yesterday I updated my Neo and was pleasantly surprised to see it can now place and receive calls from the GUI/dialer. The platform seems a lot more stable now. I am looking forward to trying the SMS application which is currently under development.

This is the first version to contain some basic messaging functionality. Note, the user list no longer contains yourself so you need another user connected to test messaging or retrieve a profile.

The previous versions were linked to openmoko-libs which caused some odd dependencies such as requiring libmokoui0, libmokojournal0, libmokogsmd0. After speaking to Thomas Wood at mobileCampLondon at the weekend I found I just need to link to libmokoui2. This should remove those dependencies.
